May Comedy Night

A jam packed night of laughter with an incredible four act lineup – our comedy nights are always a hit!

Your host: Chris Brooker – One of comedy’s heavy hitters, Chris Brooker’s infectious energy and enthusiasm sweeps through a room like an irresistible force. Chris’ combination of hilarious, original material and inspired improvisation means that you will never see the same routine twice. Immensely likeable, there’s no doubting his ability to win over any crowd and drag them along for the ride.

Opening act: Dave Williams – Dave Williams is a top quality circuit comedian whose crisp one-liners and surreal nonsense have earned him headline slots at some of the countries most prestigious comedy clubs. Dave has been a full-time comedian since 1998 and while he hasn’t become famous, nor has he starved to death, so he must be OK at this!

Middle Act: Jules O’Brian – Jules O’Brian was shortlisted for Funny Women 2021, and performs at venues and festivals around the country, telling anyone who will listen about ageing disgracefully, body hang-ups, parenting, and dating. This former teacher’s relaxed and chatty style, crowd interaction and warmth, all served with a sardonic wit, make her a natural crowd pleaser.

Closing Act: Alex Boardman – Alex Boardman is now one of the most sought after acts in the country due to his ability to interact with any audience and to seemingly conjure something out of nothing. His free flowing style and natural charm breeze through in performances. His unique brand of “Flattery and abuse” is done with a lack of malice and a big sense of fun.
